Rain and humidity accelerate the process. Initially, the surface may appear uneven, but over time a uniform, warm rust look develops, which protects the material.

Unlike conventional steel, no destructive corrosion occurs.

Over time, Corten steel develops a natural noble rust patina.
In the initial phase, as with any rusting metal, heavy rain can cause slight rust runoff.

Once the protective patina has fully formed, the surface is sealed and the material is stable. After this, no further staining usually occurs.

If you are laying sensitive, very light stone surfaces directly adjacent, we recommend a temporary cover or a small gap during the initial phase.

A lawn edging should be installed in such a way that the integrated ground spikes are fully anchored in the soil. This ensures firm support and keeps it stably in position long-term.

In normal garden soil, it is sufficient to insert the edging a few centimeters deep so that it sits securely and does not slip. In combination with the screw system, a continuous, dimensionally stable lawn edging is created.
